Deutsch: Nachdem sich die ersten Juden im 17. Jahrhundert in Hemsbach niedergelassen hatten, wurde die Synagoge Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts als Bethaus, Lehrerwohnung und Schule eingeweiht. Ein Foto zeigt die westliche Fassade der ehemaligen Synagoge nach ihrer Freilegung im Jahr 1983. Ihre Integration in die umliegende dichte Bebauung bewahrte sie vor der Zerstörung während der Reichspogromnacht vom 9. auf den 10. November 1938.
